Sharp's pygmy got some beautiful fall colors this year. I've had this tree for almost 4 years now. Someday gonna do something interesting with it, but for now I'm still growing out the nebari.

One hard lesson I learned about Sharp’s is that it’s best to clip and grow from the gitgo, while building the nebari simultaneously.

This cultivar is fond of creating barrel like, taperless, branching much faster then a normal Japanese Maple.

@Shibui has spoke about using this technique often on Maples. Just a thought.
