share your bonsai bench

Real nice! Looks like you can switch out the wood if it ever starts rotting or gets broken.

Planning to build a simple cinderblock bench tomorrow. Your post has helped motivate me to step up from the poor tables im using.

Just sharing my new bench. Ready for spring.
I like the concept, wondering how the length between supports will stand up over time. It does look like the supports are designed to be used at varying lengths if needed though. With 2 by 6 or 2 by 8 planks I find that support every six feet is needed to prevent bending and sagging over time. perhaps the picture distorts the length. IMG_0395.JPG

I agree with Frank on you may need to reduce your length to avoid sagging. You could likely leave 1 to 1.5 ft extended beyond each support cantilevered and use most of your chosen 2x material.

On a separate note your custom idea sparked in my imagination one may be able to use solar panel assemblies to hold benches? May you have great fun with your new space.

This bench is for mostly my homegrown pre bonsai. I have 3 other benches that were full so I had to make more space! My collection of trees is still mostly sticks in pots…. But I’m happy with this thing they sit on.

Hi!

Here my first bench I made over the past week-end.

The poles bolt onto 2x 24x24 concrete tiles so it is still possible to tip it over but its not easy at all, very stable bench in the end.

Just have to put lacker on and I think I will be good for few years!

Greetings. So here's a display bench I made from half of a Cuban Mahogany log. I'm actually in the process of moving things around to add a pond. Wish I had more space.

Hello, here's a table I made for my dawn redwood forest.

I used hairpin table legs from Amazon.
Legs are holding well.
