Hello! I received a bonsai seed kit as a gift (Garden Republic). Brazilian Rosewood, Black Spruce, and Colorado Blue Sprice.

I had a somewhat successful germination and am looking for tips, advice, or guidance for optimal care for my ?seedlings?

I don't have any grow experience outside of regular house plant care :/

I have a grow light and am waiting on a plant fan to be delivered.

So far what I’ve gathered is:

Maintain moist soil and mist daily, ?8? Hours daily of grow light, plant fan to promote outdoor wind (thought this was funny lol), I am unsure about how to fertilize.

I’ve read some posts where people say to dilute fertilizer and spray the seedlings daily, I read one that said don’t spray at all, one that said don’t spray until it gets its 2nd ?leaf?, and another that said to fertilize twice a year.

Any help or input would be greatly appreciated.

Some pics attached!

Thank you!

Welcome! People all have their methods. I think for these at least getting them into some direct outdoor sun and making sure they are watered is all that is really necessary for them to grow this year. Fertilizing will definitely help. But that organic soil probably already has elements the seedling needs. Start with a place that gets morning sun. The spruce do well in the sun. Not sure about the rosewood, never have taken care of one.

Also adding your hardiness zone and location to you profile in your avatar will help with advice. It’s important to know what grows in your area. Starting from seed is a long process.

Thanks for the profile tip. I updated it! Seems simple enough. Hopefully, I can keep these things alive!

Thank you!
