Im looking to buy a chunky old Korean Hornbeam in any stage of development. Willing to spend 10k for something nice. I live in N.C and have already asked around my neck of the woods

Didn’t you ask this a week or so ago? Did you check the willliam Valavanis hornbeam out. Great value for the money

Can’t help but scratch my head if you didn’t. Bill V is a lot closer to you than Randy knight. And probably more cost effective for what you’ll get

Did @JudyB sell hers? Or was that an older post I come across awhile back.

I believe that she decided to keep that one

This one is no longer on the market, and it did not end up selling for the listed price

Derek Delisi has one here:

For $10k, maybe reach out directly to Jonas Dupuis. The first tree you posted (winter silhouette in the blue oval) belongs to him.

Ron Nguyen (https://www.instagram.com/ronnbonsai/) seems to have a side job of selling a lot of finished bonsai trees and has sold several Korean hornbeams in the past. Maybe reach out to him about finding one

I purchase trees all the time through Ron. I think he's taking a break from selling right now to focus on other things.

Bill's Hornbeam already sold. Randy lives in Oregon. I live in North Carolina.

The tree you sold is exactly what im looking for lol
I ended up with the Korean Hornbeam @JudyB sold. I love it so much! Here's a photo from when I picked it up last week, was a real pleasure meeting @JudyB and her husband!

I have another one that is quite developed that I may be willing to part with. It isnt as chunky as the one I got from @JudyB but it is well developed and only has one wound that is almost completely closed. Spring photo and a pic I took just now, in leaf, can get more photos and info. If you are interested, I might be willing to part with it. Last owner owned it since about 2011, I have had it for about 2 years.
