Satsuki cuttings

Rooted cuttings or just cuttings?

Kirk

Imholte,

Julian Adams at Adams Bonsai in Virginia has 4 or 5 varieties of Satsuki rooted cuttings.

Martin

Satsuki Bonsai-en seem to be quite specialized in Satsuki azaleas. I never went there myself but they seem to have interesting plants. They ship throughout USA and they have nice starter plants on their website (which doesn't seem to be up to date). Does anyone know this place?

Once you get the plant, they are fairly easy to propagate. I made 7 or 8 cuttings in early june after flowering and all of them rooted.

Good luck!

Anyone know of a source to get satsuki cuttings here in the US? Preferably known cultivars?

I cut my satsuki's back once or twice a year. I have 8-9 different varieties. You are welcomed to the cuttings. But I am not sure if they would survive shipping or when I would cut them. I have no schedule.

I would recommend you check out Nuccio's Nursery in the Los Angeles area. They have all varieties of satsukis , and their prices are extremely reasonable. For example, a 1 gallon bush with a ton of flowers would go for about 5 bucks. They have a very good catalog with camellias and other plants too.
Good luck.

What varieties are you looking for? I just rediscovered that I have a handful of varieties of 2 yr old cuttings.

We have satsuki cuttings here at Telperion Farms.
Come visit.
