Santa Cruz Bonsai mini-show

We've started doing mini-shows twice a year since COVID shut down our normal annual show site. Nothing big, space for 15 - 20 trees. But we're seeing some pretty nice trees! These are from yesterday.

I showed a cascade pyracantha, unfortunately about a week past it's prime for flowers. Hard to get the timing right.




A friend loaned me that sweet stand. I'll have to see if I can get one like that made.

Both the seiju elm and JBP are great trees. I wonder why they were set up this way. Seems the JBP should be on a tall stand, and the seiju on a low slab on the left.
