Has anyone seen these plastic round trays that aid in neatly dividing the roots of a bonsai before potting?
Took me a minute to see it. Doesn't look like a bad idea though. Maybe I'll try 3D printing a couple.

They look interesting, but no, I have never seen them being sold anywhere.Yes, I couldn’t find pictures of the actual part. These are the best images I could take from YouTube video. It looks like it would be easier using one of these plastic discs as opposed to a piece of wood, and then nailing the roots down individually.
Is it not just the built-in YT service? (Which is only for newly uploaded videos for the time being). I know some videos of mine can now be watched in some 15 audio languages..He is working on translating all his videos using an AI interphase, it emulates his tone of voice and it is pretty close to be honest. I
Not seen it before. I would be concerned what happens if you have goof year of fattening up the roots.neatly dividing the roots of a bonsai
When he announced it he said it was an outside sourced app... that was a few months back. If the built-in service does the same thing, I'm sure he would use it, as it would be the most economically viable option. Is it not just the built-in YT service? That's one of my concerns too. The ridges may make it a bit easier to hold roots in place while you fill the pot with soil but simply spreading them out when I repot does the same thing. They don't keep wandering around under the soil after potting so no real need for the ridges except initially holding the roots in place.I would be concerned what happens if you have goof year of fattening up the roots.
In generl roots grow outwards by themselves I find. It is only the downwards that needs correcting by ast you often advocate: Frequent rootwork is a solution, and after a few rounds of cleaning out verticals, you mostly have laterals.Would it direct new roots in desirable directions as they emerge?
