Root over Rocks Ficus

Trying my hand at something a little more ambitious this time. Picked up a Green Island Ficus last Wednesday, was dealing with some emotional pain and thought it would help. Anyway I got it home and got to thinking what to do with it, the roots were growing out of the nursery pot about 6 inches so thought root over rock. Looking at the rocks I had collected none was big enough. So I found two more rocks and used epoxy to attach them to a piece of slate.
Hopefully it will survive . That long root was able wrap around the rocks. I think it will look great in a few months.

So far it appears to be doing okay, I have noticed a few yellowing leaves.

Got new shoots and some new roots as well. But it's dropping leaves. Getting the watering schedule correct with a humidity holding plastic bag has proved difficult. Defoliation creates smaller leaves.

Just an update on the ROR Green Island. The Sun and Rain are doing my trees great. Named this one "Solace" . The roots still need a few months or longer under wraps but he's healthy with lots of vigor. The vertical branch is a sacrifice which I plan to root at the end of the summer. All in all I am very proud of this tree.

Repoted a Ficus Too Little as well named "Mr. Sketch ".
