Cool to see. It’s a cool one, but I still haven’t seen a stellar piñon as a Bonsai yet. And I’m certainly no closer to making one as I’ve killed every one I’ve attempted to collect! And, this is a small gripe, but is an “ñ” really that hard to use or recognize?!?!Yes!

There was another I didn’t get a picture of, but if it was a piñon, it had the longest needles I’ve ever seen on one.

That belongs to Steve Varland, one of the Backcountry Bonsai guys. I spoke with him for a while - really nice guy. That limber pine!
We hired a pro photographer to take photos of each tree in a booth. When we have some access to those photos I'll post them on bnut. For now, thank goodness for pinonj. Thanks for some pictures. Welcome relief.
I look forward to that...We hired a pro photographer to take photos of each tree in a booth. When we have some access to those photos I'll post them on bnut. For now, thank goodness for pinonj.
Shrug, mountains.Lovely tree, just wish there were more broadleaf species.
There we go. That’s got great bones. With more refinement that’ll be an exceptional and unique tree. Thanks!!
