Decided to make a progression thread on this one.
Purchased this at the MBS auction June of 2022.
Some views from then. I repotted this one early spring (2023)A month or so ago I asked my wife what shape I should pursue.She said the blue triangle is better. So I have chosen try to make that shape.

What it looked like today. After looking at the tree further, I decided on this triangle.

Then, pruning and wire to create the shape. Not exactly true to the triangle I was going for, but close.

Pretty happy with it for now.

Thanks. The Local nursery usually sells these at clearance each year.

I’ve looked for another without the jumbled roots. . The crazy roots seem to be very common though.
