Red Alder (Alnus Rubra)

Collected last spring. Did really well over summer. Held up to constant pinching of new shoots. Will continue to proceed this way for the next few years to develope and recover. My main focus with this tree right now is growing more branches closer to the trunk. I see all the main branches and possibly even the trunk getting cut back in the future.

Looks pretty good. Good start. Underused and should be interesting.
