Any reason you want 20-20-20?

I use Miracle Grow all purpose. Very cheap esp the 5 lb box (or bigger). I think it is 24-8-16 and believe it is a good balance for developing trees.

For trees? Heck I wouldn't use 20-20-20 on corn.

I use Peter's 20-20-20 at half strength but twice as often.

Organic fertilizer is better, but costs more (unless you make it) and compacts the soil quickly if done right.

thank you guys for replying. The reason reason I was planning on using a 20-20-20 fertilizer is because I just got a pre bonsai (1 years old) portulacaria afra. I was thinking it might be good to give it an all around fertilizer until later, and then change the ratio as needed. If you have a better recommendation as to what ratio to give it please share.
