After a 3 year COVID break, REBS will be back with our annual show in a new air conditioned location August 26 & 27. I decided to contact Mirai and see if Ryan would be willing to come down and be our headliner. and he agreed. Along with the exhibition, Ryan will lead 2 morning workshops which are sold out with a waiting list, and a critique of the show trees after the show closes on Sat. Admission to the show, Ryan's demo, vendor and member sales area are free. There is a charge for the workshops and critique. Vendor inquiries can be direct to me. Hope to see you there.

REBS Annual Show is this weekend at the Rohnert Park Community Center. The new venue means far fewer trees than the typical 200+, therefore, the 80 or so trees being exhibited will be very high quality. Jonas Dupuich and Adam Toth selected the trees to be shown from some 120 that were submitted. Ryan Neil is headlining and doing demos both days as well as doing a critique Saturday evening. It should be a good one. Hopefully some of you can make it.

What time does it start? Hubby wants breakfast at Henny Penny Diner in Petaluma first, and I dont want to miss a minute of it!

10-5 today, 10-4 tomorrow. I'm in Petaluma. Haven't been to Henny Penny in many years. I'll have to get over there sometime. I'm going to the show tomorrow. Dropped off the tree I'm showing last night.

We missed the Pengrove exit, ended having a great breakfast at Shari's in RP.
The show was tho contracted from the old fairgrounds site. We hadn't been in 20 years, so its new all over again for me.. Fiirst thing i did was wander into the vendors hall, a d zoomed in on the tiny olive trees. A 2" tree changed hands, and accompanied us arounf to the check out the "big " trees for inspiration.
Wonderful display, lots of spectacular redwoods, olives, elms and junipers, with a variety of other plants thrown in. I should have taken pics, but forgot. I bought an Itoigawa starter from Mr Bonsaify.
Wonderful variety of trees, tools, materials and pots for sale, most beyond my mame size range.
The smaller sized of the show appealed more to the agoraphobic gardener, and we came early before the crowds. Others will be able to fill in with info on the workshops and demos, as wwehad to leave before it got too busy..
Great time, and very pleased with the sights and the trees I took home. A special thanks to all the volunteers who make this work!

Had a great time at the show today. Love the new venue with A/C, I didn't even sweat. Ryan's demo was great except that someone else won it in the raffle. As usual Ryan's stream of consciousness narrative gave me more new info than I can retain. Came home with a couple of cool new maples from the member sales.
