Possible to root a cutting from a large Pyracantha branch?

Is it likely that I can propagate this Pyracantha by taking these two large branches as cuttings?

I've successfully taken cuttings of a similar size from an olive. But I'm not sure how comparable a Pyracantha is/how easily they root.

Pyracantha root pretty easily from cuttings but with that thickness air layering is the way to go.

Large pyracantha cuttings are possible put the larger the cutting the harder it is to root so you could be successful but probably won't. If losing it doesn't matter then have a go. If you are really keen to succeed then layering is a much better option.

Thank you both! I decided to airlayer the triple trunk and take the other one as a cutting. I kinda doubt the cutting will survive though since I used some dull loppers and partially split the branch. But we'll see.
