Pinus Sylvestris Structural Pruning

Hey Nonsai Buts,

Got two Scots pine that need structural pruning (three's down to two's, big branch removal, bar branch removal etc.) Do you prefer to do this in the Summer or do you wait till Fall? Both trees are healthy but still in nursery soil. I decided I do not want to repot next Spring since the soil/roots aren't too bad.

I prefer summer because they'll respond with some budding before fall or winter.
Yes, there's the sap leaking issue.. But then again, healing is faster too.

If you cut them flush, I would. If you leave stubs or jins, I wouldn't.
