Left field question and could be a horrible idea, but could some pine rosin, applied like a fertilizer tablet, be good for JBP?
I was weeding and cleaning up the surface on some of my JBP, and I noticed an abundance of mycorrhizae, right where some pine needles are decomposing. I mulched some up my JBP with chopped green needles after I trimmed last time, and I think a good sign to see mycorrhizae.
So I’ll keep up with the green needles mulching. And it is a bit of a leap to try pine rosin, but I do have a bag of it I got for making my own surf wax. I had to heat it up before it got liquified and sticky, so I doubt a chuck would do to much sitting there on top of the soil.
What do you think?
