Hi all!
I've got some penjing (lava rock and the 'other' type not sure of the correct name) pottery and such that I acquired from Mr. Wu's collection in Stockton that I'm looking to sell.
They as complete pot and rockery are heavy! I suspect unless you're really wanting to ship, best pick up here in Merced at my place. At that time I also will show you some of my fine quality Tokoname pots that I'll let go. They are BIG!
The penjing were heavily covered with salts of which I've de-salted the main pottery portion but their is (obviously) some left on the small decorative ceramic pieces that are cemented to the rock. Note that many of the small huts and such are broken, but not all! The pots themselves appear to be Japanese. The larger rectangular penjing is not 'cemented' to the pot and the items themselves can be sold separately. The oval smaller Wu penjing has a pot that had a slight defect in the back as a mark when it was drying. (minimal). The blue oval is intact and appears to be also of Japanese quality yet the rockery is cemented into it.

Prices: blue rockery: $145
oval rockery: $95
Large Lava rockery: $255
Large I think Tokoname
rectangle that it sits in: $155 Although it is not marked I'd bet it is from knowing how Tokoname pots feel and look. It has a corner repair of minor size .25" chip repaired.

The Tokoname pots are about 45 years old not used but one! See the photos. I purchased them from Luther Young, of PA back in the early 70's.

Offers accepted.
