Don't those tooth bend much if you really rake the sh!t out of it?

I saw someone use a fork that they bent into shape.
I bent the first 3/8 of an inch of the tips of a standard fork to do soil surface scratching with--I wish it was a bit wider but it works well. I also wish I had some softer tipped ones like little spring rakes for soil surface cleaning and -demossing chores. this years rains have me beating back most all the time.

I like....use....a single hook. I haven't done much surface scratching where a multi-prong rake would be needed though. If I had to I'd probably just use an old fork....but even then I'd probably be more comfortable with a rounded blunt end single prong. I'd break to many near-the-surface roots with a sharp multi-prong tool.

Nice...

Please tell me you get all your wire free too!

I anneal mine on the stove and it is good.

This is the most creative roothook I've ever seen. Kinda puts my fork to shame. Nice work dude!

20160927_144033.jpg I use these quite a bit. When they're too much I use the ends of the handles on my cutters.
I've used them so much I done wore the nails down.
