I am going to be in St. Paul Minnesota next week and am planing to visit Ordway Garden and see their bonsai garden. What are some of the highlights of the exhibit? Does anyone have recommendations for other bonsai things to see in the area?

I believe you are talking about the bonsai exhibit at the Como zoo/conservatory.

The exhibit is worth taking a look at. It’s not huge but nice. The Japanese garden is also great.

I went to the Como Zoo/ Conservatory today. It is a great facility and the garden is fantastic. I wish that they provided more information on the trees that they have on display.

My wife’s favorite tree was this Tamarack group planting. Does anyone know who made the slab that it is planted on?

This is also one of my faves there!
Sorry, don’t know about the slab, but will try to remember to ask about it at the club meeting Tuesday.
Did they have the massive Cedar outside on display?

I did not see a massive Cedar outside. Let me know if you get any information on the slab. I did recognize a Sarah Rayner pot used for the white pine.
