I have three mature Shimpaku and one pre bonsai Shimpaku. Currently, (I'm in Maine, zone 5b) the three adults have all gotten their bronze winter color but the juvenile is bright green as though it was May. First, why is there a difference in color between the adults and the juvenile? And second, we are having a warm stretch currently (temps in the 70° range)...since the adults seem to be in winter mode, will the warm temps harm them? Should I move them into the garage where they winter well each year? (I usually don't put them in until a month from now...)
