Niwaki bald cypress?

I am thinking about putting a few collected BCs in my brother’s yard and train them as niwaki BC. I visit him twice a year and will prune and train them each time I visit. My brother really like BC bonsai for his front yard but we are afraid they will be taken.

Of course it's doable. Don't know exactly how it will look though--you planning on smaller "natural" BC or a poodled version like a black pine?

How has this worked out so far? I am looking at moving about nine trees from my grow area to my garden area.

I would love to add one of my BCs from you to that spot. Is your brother close by?

The plan is to put it in the ground in Cincinnati in the spring of 2025.

It should work well. Twice a year pruning MIGHT be enough. They grow like gangbusters in the ground.

My brothers and I are old. When the pruning stops, it will be the youngun’s responsibility.

Nuh uh. Batman belongs to me. Someday I will tow Batman to a bonsai show.
