New Turntable - Trash to Treasure

I saw 2 bar stools on the side of the road for free and figured I could modify them into a new Bonsai turntable. I took off the seat, put on an 18" unfinished table top for $12 (only thing I had to buy), sanded, burned wood to bring out the grain, sealed with clear outdoor deck sealer and painted the ugly chrome chair. It's adjustable and rotates 360 degrees. Turned out way better than I expected for only spending $12.

Looks good, I have 3 are those chairs I am about to replaced because the leather is torn and I am about to do the same....maybe bigger size table top though. Where did you get that table top for $12 ?

Thanks! I got it at Lowes. Didn't see any larger other than mid-sized about 30", at least at my store when I was there.

That's so funny. I found two chairs from Restoration Warehouse that someone listed on Nextdoor and he just wanted them gone. The base was wrought iron, no back and a beautiful wood seat. He had two. When I messaged him he said someone was on their way to get them.
I had the exact same idea and told him I only needed one.
