new to bonsai and need help ~ trying to do a Corkscrew willow bonsai

So i was growing Ivys and one of my Corkscrew willow cutting started growing ! Ive always wanted a bonai so i wanted to make this cutting into one. I have already done the first root pruning. I have never seen a Corkscrew Willow bonsai before either so im not sure what to expect. I want to style it so its sort of in a cascading style , so the branches go longer than the pot and dangle down.
Has anyone done a Corkscrew willow bonsai before ?? Is there certain reasons why it CANT be a bonsai ?
I have never done one before and no matter how many websites i read on Google i cant get a good answer !
Any advise or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
