Looking for advice

The bonsai club I attend (ok second visit) are having a workshop evening, the thing is what does this consist of. Is this a evening of were members bring there trees along to work on bringing their own supplies and just sit for the three hours working on their trees or is it more structured where just one or two members bring their trees and work on but explaining what they are doing and why?

Usually you take your own trees and equipment (wire, tools etc) and everyone is working their own trees,

More experienced members are there too (usually also working on their trees) and you can ask for help/ opinions if you need it.

People sometimes float around looking at each others trees and offering their opinions whether they were asked for or not haha!

just bear in mind if you ask 10 different people what they would do, you could get 10 different answers, remember its your tree!

hope I don't put you off, workshops are great and I highly recommend going, my club holds a monthly meeting and a monthly workshop and I prefer workshops to meetings!

My club has a workshop after most meetings lead by whoever the guest speaker at the meeting was. A number of participant slots are sold, usually around 6-10, to help pay for the guest speaker's time. The participants bring trees and work on them with guidance from the person leading the workshop. The rest of the club members are invited to watch and listen.

OK that's good I think I will take a Japinese Larch and my blue Juniper both need pruning and shaping with wire
