New structure, shade house with automated misting system.

Total dirtbag build, beetlekill lodgepole logs collected from the backyard, quick and dirty chainsaw joinery, everything eyeballed for square and level, deck block foundation. The get'er up and damned how it looks building technique, pretty fun!

Shadecloth, poly and misting system were the expense, the rest time and labour.

Do you worry about heat buildup, or is that breathable material? Nice way to recycle the wood in that way.

The sad part of this is that I've wanted to do this for a while, its a great environment inside for tree recovery, collected junipers, cutting propagation, perfect!

But, here's the sad part, already filling the thing with the mushroom growing venture, whoops, have to build another!
I do have a corner reserved, juniper cuttings in there now, once I organize the space I'll keep room for a bit of bonsai action.

Soon, I will have to take measures yes, pull down some poly, underground pipe with water dripping out and air pulled in with a fan.

Beautiful oysters! I've delved pretty deep into growing mushrooms. It's fun but time consuming. My all time favorite species is Lion's Mane (hericium erinaceus), not only for its amazing taste but it can stimulate NGF (nerve growth factor) in the brain and aid in memory.

The misthouse just went up but seems to be working. I'm waiting for a lions mane culture on a petri dish right now, its been sent and on its way. Last fall we found some large Hericium Ramosun locally and I thought they were even tastier than erinacius, once they fruit again this fall I'll be cloning and attempting to cultivate those, can't wait.
Check out our enoki (flammulina), first blocks that we made just fruited, super stoked, they did great!

It has been keeping me busy, working days, growing spawn and innoculating evenings, madness. Settling down now though, getting a rythm and now that the house is up I can make a bit of time for trees.
