Hi, I'm new to the forum. Maybe someone can answer a question for me. I got an azalia bonsai about 4 months ago. It was beautiful up until about a few weeks ago. The leaves are turning yellowish green and on the bottom of the leaves there brown speckles. I was told at the nursery that it was brown spot and sold me Bonide Infuse Systemic Disease control. It says on the bottle to spray the plant. Two different people at different nurseries told me to put it in water and water as usual. I'm so confused. Also I don't know how much of the concentrate to mix in the water. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it. Im sorry if i didnt post this correctly but this is my first time . your tree is VERY infested... I know nothing about bonide... I have treated similar pest problems with malathion following the label's directions with great success

"If" that is a fungal called black spot(not brown) Mix that Bonide 1 Tablespoon in a gallon of water and water the plant with it every 7-10 days with it for the rest of the season. That may not go away very good this season but start treatment again in Spring as it starts new growth and it should be recovered or recovering nicely by the end of next Summer. If it were mine it would also get isolated from other plants.

I would start by following the directions. Spray the plant really well, soak the foliage and make sure you get all sides and the leaves in the middle.
I'd even spray the soil some to get any bugs hiding in it.

Yes, if it is lace bug and not that chemical... They would need something like Safer for lace bug or any other brand. What he has now is a systemic to treat fungal problems, which I pointed out and will not be of much use for lace bug.

Thank you all very much for the information. I will take all into consideration to try to get rid of these nasty bugs.

Sorry, I didn't realize it was just a fungicide. I like using liquid sevin for insects but I don't know if its good for lace bugs, we don't have them here.

Actually if I remember correctly that would work ok. ;)
