Hey all, new to the site. Looks like a good group of people. Some even from my area. Originally from Olympia,WA. Now in socal. Always liked bonsai growing up. So decided this would be the year I start creating some. Went out and bought some pre bonsai/regular trees in a pot, and now I'm kinda lost on what to do next. Been reading through the archives everyday. Lots to learn, but I'm eager. Anyways, soon as I figure out how to post pics, I'll start asking questions. And hopefully get some replies. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum!! There is a good group of people on here, many of which have lots of experience in this hobby. Looking forward to seeing your stock.

Welcome to the site and to bonsai. If you're ever in the Northridge area you should stop in.
Get your pictures up chances are you'll get more answers then you'd imagine.

Welcome . . . and get a book. The library is a good place to start. Read before you cut.

First step after purchasing any tree is spending a couple of seasons learning how to care for it. It can be a little hard to sit on your hands but if you are itching to work a plant while learning to take care of trees you might consider some Junipers to chop up and wire. That takes a bit of research and good timing but it allows you to get your hands dirty.

I grew up in the Olympia/ Thurston county area! My family is still up there. I miss it a lot. Anyway, welcome to the forum. It's a great place to learn.
