Neea Buxifolia, thoughts?

Considering picking up this Neea Buxifolia and would love your feedback, specifically regarding the trunk cut.

Looks good to me, but I’m pretty new and the trunk cut caught my eye (don’t want to have buyers remorse in future because of the cut).

Thoughts? Would you pick it up? If so, how much is the max you’d be willing to pay?

I'm afraid I don't know this species. But I thought I'd say I think it presents rather well in the first photo that you posted. The head on view 3 pics down - that cut/scar is pretty massive and garish.

The base/back side doesn't look nearly as good in the last photo that you posted - it feels a bit out of balance/inverse tapered.

I have read about Nea, I have never grown one. If this were something familiar, like a crab apple, I would probably buy it if less than $100. There's many trunk issues that need fixing, I'm not sure all could be fixed. But if it was cheap enough, I'd try to wrestle with it.

Hi Leo, thanks for you input. Decided not to buy it because of the trunk issues and the size. Come to find out it’s only about 6” tall. Ended up buy this tigerbark instead for $80.
