Neagari Japanese maple

Could be better quality... its a screenshot from a stilled frame for tomorrow's Instagram video clip.. but, this tree makes me grin BIG 😁.

Softener with foliage emerging on it.

Attached the direct link. Anyone should be able to view it who is interested. It will also allow me to find it easier on my Instagram page. If later I wish to see it.

Photos I believe of the previous owners desired front. For documentation...purposes. The image I zoned in on was a side profile by the way the tree was planted on the slab. As well as only one image of that side shared.

I like it.
I am growing out some trident an JBP in tall containers. Approaching a style that l initially didnt care to have but have recently been inspired.

I like how your tree shows the roots don't have to be “perfect” for the style to work

How is weight ratio of tree to pot? Pot appears fairly small so just wondering with wind if any issues for tipping?

It will be bungee corded down. The canopy will be a kite. On a day that isn't windy. It would be fine. But I would never trust it. If the tree was dormant... I wouldn't worry about it at all. It's quite balanced. The weight of the medium and pot is a good balance...The pot is 9 x 3 ... so it's actually a decent counterweight.

Welcome to the darkside... 😉😁 that's actually cool to hear. Cool projects.

There's no such thing as a perfect tree. They all are flawed in someway. Is my mentality. It's just finding flaws you personally can live with. Neagari...in my minds eye...doesn't need to be pretty. Same sense...my forsythia, I redid the neagari on it. Gave it some attention to correct it. It was a tangled mess it was an eyesore. This you couldn't fix...like those roots. These roots here are massively thick.
