My shohin satsuki azalea “Mrs. Dawn”

My good friend/bonsai mentor Mrs. Dawn Koetting brought this tree to me about 4years ago. I nicknamed the tree after her. It is my favorite tree and most special to me in my collection. The tree is a little wild right now and in need of a haircut. After flowering I will thin her out.

Thank you. Mrs Dawn, the human, has been to nationals several times and has won first place in several categories in different shows. She hasn’t touched this tree of mine yet. It would be a different tree I’m sure lol. She is quite the artist. It was a honor to acquire this tree from her.

I think she’s doing a “bring your own tree” workshop after the cedar elm demo. I can’t remember how much the “B.Y.O.T” demo costs.
