Please don't mind the mess
Yes actually im trying to give the plant some time to get settled in the new environment it was in transit for 5 days afterwards i will change the soil thank you for the suggestionsHi @Radium,
I would say that soil is really awful. To water it correctly is a very hard task, sou your first move should be to change it to a good draining soil....
Also, if you're going to keep it inside, you could face some problems (mold, light issues,...).
These are a bit finicky (unlike the ficus you're keeping). so if you want to be successful, watch it closely for fungus, under and overwatering.
Any suggestions about reporting media? The "soil" as said, is really REALLY bad. Looks to me like someone smeared peat moss over the top, or planted this in mostly peat moss. That is a very bad ingredient for bonsai soil. IT stays sopping wet, but if allowed to dry out, becomes almost impervious to water. Once dry it will shed water to the side of the pot and prevent it from reaching the roots. I'd scrape away at that mess on top to see if there's anything different underneath it.
Now is the time to repot tropicals. This one needs a repot ASAP if it's going to do well at all.
