Hello every one
I wanted to post this and to tell people about what happen to my bougain, in short she was looking sad and the leafs and flowers were pointing down... she was dying but I place the bougain in a "baño de Maria" or "Mary's bath" with its water half way of the pot and a few drops superthrive ( i don't know if that's what you guys call wet feet but it sure looks like it )
Well the bougain drink all that whater and got healthy in days and even bloom

What you guys think?

BTW I haven't Cut it since its blooming but ill in January its that a good timing?

If your night time temperatures are above lets say 45F (daytime should be in the mid 50s-60s) then you should be able to prune the Bougie without fear...

As for the moist soil that is pretty typical for bougies... from the first picture I can tell it was extremely dry....

good work bringing it back it looks happy.... now you just need to wire and prune :)

Jose,
Sorry, to disagree with you here... your Bougie was just in need of watering... Have to say that
from the photos it seems to me that your tree was far from dying...
Bougies can go a long time with out water, they will suffer and their growth will be hindered... but it takes along time before they will die.
When one finds one of their plants with such wilted leaves in our climate it is usually a sign of it dehydration...
Putting the pot in a larger pot of water for the day is a good way to remedy this prob. and yes will help bring your tree back into a good condition.

But, make no mistake Bougies do not like lots of watering... they do not like to have their roots in soils that retains alot of moisture, and
excess watering will encourage the roots to rot. They will drop of all their leaves and whole sections of your plant will die off, if not you whole tree!!!

Overwatering Bougies is the fastest way to kill them... they are not very tolerant in this reguard...
