The first Bonsai Museum of the Americas was inaugurated in Minas Gerais by the businessmen Francisco Carlos Corrêa and Cornélio Walter Corrêa. Inaugurated with an important International Bonsai Congress, on May 24 and 25, 2014, Minas Gerais. The musseum was built in accordance with the standards of Japanese architecture. Francisco is known for his field-grown junipers, he has been able to create masterpieces from scratch. He uses juniperus formosana as a base material due to its rapid growth, after several years growing in the fields the trees are potted and then grafted with better quality foliage, amazing deadwood work and styling its done to create one of the best quality junipers outside Japan
