Hi all,

I’ve just noticed that the buds on my little Mugo nursery stock have small droplets of sap on them. Is this normal behaviour or something sinister happening?

Pictures seem to be fixed, can you repost the pictures you tried to post earlier again please. Ones from last night/this morning are broken.

Would help if I can see what you're seeing

I’d really appreciate some thoughts about what is causing this. It’s probably nothing serious because the tree as a whole is looking very healthy.

It’s more that I am a curious creature and when something out of the ordinary happens I like to get to the bottom of it.

I think this is normal. Many cold climate pines seem to use resin to protect winter buds.

Yea the buds look healthy so I would not worry about it

I was at a nursery yesterday looking at some really nice stock, and a lot of their pines and conifers were kinda sappy.
Typically, as the weather gets hotter, pines will tend to drip sap.
