Moss...gel like substance...treat and remove...or just remove

I have totally no idea, but if you don't like it you could clean the moss up, the moss allready looks very nice i can barely see the unidentified gooey slimey remnants.

How often do you repot your olive? Does it destroy the moss when you do?
My olive throws MASSIVE roots every season and I ....think.... they have to be trimmed or they'd be rootbound every year.
Don't want to go to larger pot, but moss ..is.. developing and does every year but I'm wondering how to KEEP it during a repot.

It probably IS those pellets, but there is also a fungus that inhabits moss that looks like this, easily picked out with tweezers. It'll sort of be a sphere that is gooey but will stay together to pull out. It won't harm anything either way. I've had this fungus this year in moss more than other years, so it's just something that shows up in wet years.

What you describe...sounds like this. It is sphere and sort of gooey...but, also stays together. Maybe later I will remove the majority of this then. Curious if the conditions in shipping made it the perfect conditions for it to grow. Glad it's nothing to concern myself with though.

I kill moss on a regular basis. With fertilizer. It turns all black and gooey from massive doses of fertilizer every week. When I saw the title to the thread I thought that is what was going on here. This looks much different. Not sure what those are.

Cyanobacteria, spray it with hydrogen peroxide. Its common with carnivorous plants or anywhere where there is a lot of moisture. Thats my best guess it looks a little too dark though and maybe not enough green for what I think it could be. Best of luck though.
