I’m trying to propagate my Millettia from cuttings without success. I think I do everything right. The soil is mixed - fine pumice with coco fibre, cuttings pruned, watered and covered, and yet they die rather quickly without showing any signs of survival. I need some help from experienced hobbyists that succeeded with Millettia cuttings. Thank you.

I can't claim to know anything about the species, but I'd recommend (1) ensure everything is sterile; (2) try to vary the moisture level of the growing media to find the optimum level; and (3) ensure the cuttings stay covered to keep the moisture in.

At the end of the day, some species just don't root from cuttings.

I have rooted these without too much problem. I have done hardwood cutting late winter and tip cuttings in the spring. Many plants do not like to root late in the season as they are preparing for dormancy.
