This popped up in my feed and frankly i couldn't wait to share it. Bnuts very own @MACH5 is a featured artist. I have a very fond memory of meeting and talking with Sergio through Bnut many years ago, becoming pals and meeting in person at this event to walk the exhibit together. His work speaks for itself and it's no surprise he continues to reach new heights...

Friend of mine in my club just texted me about it this morning.
Registration isn't open yet but we are planning on going. If @MACH5 and you don't mind, we would love to walk it with you if you are going to be there and doing it.

That's a very tempting lineup of talent! Boon and Sergio, I may have to find a way to get to this. Plus it's a stone's throw from Nature's Way...hmmm...

You have 7 months to get it worked out.
Plenty of time

Thanks guys! Would love to see some BNuts there next year for moral support or... throw me some tomatoes! It's all good! 😂

Sandy, part of my duties as a headliner will be to do an exhibit critique so of course you are welcome to join! :)

Since I'm too close to pass this up, I plan on attending

Right, I forgot that each of the headliners do those

Is the show/convention all day on Friday, or does setup start Friday afternoon/evening?

You can peep at last year's schedule here: https://midatlanticbonsai.org/registration.htm

Friday is workshops/vendors/demos starting in the afternoon. The main exhibit opens on Saturday.

Thanks!

It turns out the show is the same weekend as my brother-in-law's wedding. I couldn't go to the National show for a wedding either, and I couldn't go to MABS this spring because of my own wedding. Would it be worth it to go just on Friday? Will most of the trees be up on exhibit?

I think everything will be set up but I can't remember if you're allowed to go in or not? Assuming not because of what the schedule says.

What does the schedule say that makes you think it wouldn't be open to regular ticket-holders? Are we reading the same schedule?

It says the workshops are open to those with silent observer tickets, but what about the rest of the floor?

Just that it doesn't say the exhibit is open on Friday. Sorry I can't help; maybe someone else has a better memory or you could email the organizers.

Thanks for what you were able to offer.

It says right on the schedule that the vendor area is open from 4PM to 6PM on Friday and they are pretty strict on that start time for regular attendees. You will not be able to get into the vendor room before that. They do post people at the door to keep anyone but vendors and organizers out until it officially opens. They shut it down at 6 so people can go to dinner. Typically it is a separate room with lockable doors.
