Around two years ago I was at work clearing a garden to lay a patio. There were two huge maples im not sure of the variety, but they had seeded hundreds of little inch long seedlings beneath. I pulled a bunch and put them in pot that was being thrown out. (Black pot pictured) I left them in the pot and watered/fed as needed over the summer. The following Spring I transplanted 8 or so into individual pots and left the rest in said for the forrest. This Spring another 5 or 6 sprouted in the pot which I planted elsewhere (wondering whether I should have left them) my plan is to just let it grow for the next couple of years with a bit of thinning, branch placement etc. I want them to get thick as fast as possible so may transplant into a much bigger pot come Spring 26. This is my 1st so any advice or tips welcome. The 1st pics before thinning and replacement may look better but, that's because one of the trees that was sweeping over to the right was growing in between two others! So it had to be altered.
