Looking to purchase older material ideally in Alberta Canada

So as a proud owner of plenty of expensive sticks.

Im now on the hunt for some older material too learn on, that has had trunk/ root development and is closer in branch refinement process.
Any one in Alberta have anything for purchase? not looking for 'pretty perfect' specimen's just rough stock for me to practice on, that is in some ones over flow.

Have you considered cutting down deciduous nursery stock?

Yes, last fall I went to the discount rack, and picked up a cherry plum Mustang (prunusx'jefchum') and a juniper of sorts, ive attached pictures, they any good??
They both are planted in ground in late fall, and the plan is, provided they survived the winter i can dig those up to play with once ground is thawed out.

Grab an Amur Maple, it's a hardy Maple, that would be good in your climate. They're usually easily found at nurseries.
