I'm looking for a good resource for JWP on the internet, I was just wondering if anyone has any good recommendations.

Use the BNut search to find posts by Brian Van Fleet on the subject of JBP. If you don't find the info to be dense enough, he has published a ebook on exactly what you are looking for, but that will cost you a few pennies. Also he publishes a blog that you will find referenced in one or more of his BNut posts.

Obtain or borrow a copy of Masters Series Pines. Bonsai Today
Growing & Styling Japanese Black & White Pines.
Compiled and edited by Wayne Schoech, Michael Persiano et al

Note for calendar of care specific information on white pines focus on page 12-20.

Julian Adams excels at JWP, buy his book “Growing Pines”. He covers JWP as well as JBP and many other species with a very nice “calendar” style approach

BSOP has a calendar on their website categorized into groups of species. It’s for Portland’s climate, so some adjustments of the timing of things are needed for other climates. Nonetheless, it’s a decent starting point.

Any calendar needs to be taken with a grain of salt. Unless it was done by someone in your climate, you need to be cautious about specific monthly care.

Try to evaluate where the author of the calendar is from and adjust based on season rather than actual month.

For example spring occurs where I am later in the year than it does for someone in Texas. So I'll start doing my spring work a bit later.

I was shocked. Maybe they do not like shipping outsite of the US.
Its not that they don't like it, the cost of shipping over seas either way is stupid expensive.
The merchant doesnt set those prices, the people doing the shipping do

Its not the real cost of shipping a book from the US to EU, there's definitely some margin in that, but don't blame them. Def buy from Greenwood though! I might get one myself, have been buying a few books recently from Corin at Greenwood, seems like they keep a stock of really well-curated books over there - including the Rick Garcia Azalea book, Meriggioli on Maples etc

I have doubted serveral times about ordering books from Stone Lantern in the past but the costs for shipping from the US is not in relation to the value of the books.

Maybe the costs for shipping will be less if ordered from the UK instead of the US but "we" in the EU have to pay VAT on everything which enters the country.
The VAT is another thing which will raise the price of goods ordered outside the EU.
Fortunally the VAT on books is only 9% instead of 21% on most goods.

Yes I don't think we pay VAT on books in the UK
