Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out from Southern Louisiana, where bonsai pottery options are… let’s just say slim to none.

I’m now in my fourth year of bonsai and ready to take the next step — potting 6 to 8 trees into proper bonsai pots. I’m looking to partner with a reputable pottery artist or company who’s interested in building a real working relationship — someone who values communication, quality, and deadlines.

So far, I’ve contacted a few vendors, and while they’ve been friendly, they didn’t require deposits, gave me hopeful start dates… and then vanished. I totally understand the nature of custom work and timelines, but I’m ready to pay a premium for follow-through.

If you make pots or know someone who does and actually wants to complete a project (without ghosting me), please reach out. I’m eager to get these trees properly housed and support an artist who takes pride in their work.

Thanks in advance!

Watching this thread. Good luck to you as couple times I tried didn’t find one taking new commissions

What sort of pots are you looking for?
This was one of my concepts:

Here are the details for the pot.

Rectangle with rounded corners in a medium to light gray. That would accent the bark. No lip.The rounded corners would bring in the feminine aspects into the pot.

Block feet with a subtle arch shaped into it helps combine masculine and feminine qualities.

Texture would be good but if I could see examples before we make

You're probably better off buying a pot rather than commissioning one.

I have a few pots for sale but not really what you are looking for
https://www.piedmontbonsai.com/shop/ceramics

I have a broker in Tokoname and could try to find you something, but it wouldn’t make sense to order just one pot and i don’t plan on making another order until i sell most of my current inventory.

You might want to check matt ouwinga on ebay
