Little Bug that I can’t identify

Anyone know what this is? Found them all on a dying juniper in my garden about two weeks ago and sprayed some neem oil. Then two days ago a potted up a Dawn redwood sapling that I just got and when I went out today I saw the same bugs so I snapped a pic real quick. Are they pests or are they beneficial?

They jump when I try and squash them. Doesn’t look like flying just jumping

Springtails I think. They colonize wet areas and are detritivores. Not harmful to live plants by themselves but their presence indicates too much moisture and dead organic material in the pot

But the soil is inorganic? Moisture though it has been raining the past two days

Is there bark in the soil mix? In this case the organic material might be the tree, if it's rotting. No such thing as a truly inorganic bonsai.
