Here a little blue rug I purchased from Lowe’s for 1$. 90% off in September of 2020. IMG_3253.jpegIMG_3256.jpegUnfortunately I don’t have so many pics of this one. It has 2 trunks. 1 cascading. Here you can see that I’ve already wired up a leader.

This pic is from august 2021IMG_4605.jpeghard to tell but the cascading branch is actually another trunk. IMG_6959.jpegThis spring it looked a little drab.IMG_7527.jpegHowever, it picked up steam as the spring progressedIMG_9371.jpegIMG_9372.jpegI decided the second trunk had to go.IMG_9397.jpegIMG_9395.jpegAnd there we are now. Next spring I think it will get a proper pot.

Took a pic as reference before removing the wire today. Was really biting in places. I think this is one of my least favorite chores required with the hobby.

I hope to rewire it tonight, as some branches have sprung back.
I like where this little one is headed. I agree removing wire is kind of a pain and always takes longer than I anticipate.

do y'all cut it off or uncoil it to reuse? I start out doing the former, but have switched to removing it in larger pieces as I'm finding more uses for less than perfect wire, notably guy wires, anchoring, and drainage screen holders

I do a mix of both. Mostly I try to uncoil.

I uncoil, unless -like this situation- when it’s really biting in, I’ll cut it off where I can & nip it out without tearing to much bark.
In tight spaces, I find it hard to simply uncoil all of it without damaging something.

nice evolution of style, looks great

Unfortunately this one’s looking a little pale. Not exactly sure what’s going on, but the color has been going south.

I’ve been fertilizing it lightly but regularly.
Im hi sweetie I spread some DIY fungicide on it today, apple cider vinegar solution. Just a shot in the dark. IMG_2382.jpeg
