Leaf identification

The community at https://www.reddit.com/r/whatsthisplant/ are normally very helpful with this kind of thing. I don't see any photos that suggest opposite branching. I'm familiar with most native European species but don't know what this is. It may help to say where you got it from?

It is a local tree, from Bucharest, Romania. Zona 7A.

(Actually, a lot of it is understandable for French speakers, especially written texts. When people speak, it's much more difficult, but one can understand it's a Romanese language with slavic influences)

Looks really close! Never heard of this maple before.. looks like its a european variety only.

You're right, leaves are opposite. I think it's either Amur or Tartarian Maple.

That's a good guess. Acer tataricum var. ginnala is referred to as Acer ginnala here, most of the time.

A professional, local biologist told me that the tree is an Acer Tataricum. If in autumn will turn read, he is right.
