Have had this box since 2008, still unsure what to do...
It has lived happily the last 3 years in a colander. Root reduction etc.
Not the greatests pics...from my phone. Getting so close for pics warped the look of leaves. Quite small.

Slow grower for sure. Have some new growth showing.

I know the long strait middle branch is ugly but not sure what to do. Cut it off, do some carving. If I cut it down it likely won't backbud low. Thinking of trying some serious bending on a couple branches.
So farjust clip n grow, no wire.

tried to add couple other pics. didnt work. try again later.

Suggestions appreciated.
Thank you

I would keep trying to reduce it down. Don't cut all the foliage off at once. Keep some on the ends and chase the back budding down. I trunk chopped a box this year. Budded out like crazy. Got brave chopped it again. Still waiting after a month for it to bud out again. It has not. Still green under bark, my hopes are not high. It does Need to get shorter in my opinion..

I haven't removed any foliage for the last 2 years except to remove larger leaves. I didn't scalp it off haha. I know it needs to change..too tall wide but not chopping without a plan. Not a fast grower and actually quite old.
