Just starting my bonsai journey!

Welcome @UK-bonsai-nut
We have a number of UK members that post regularly and more who drop in for advice less often so keep an eye out for their local advice.
It pays to add a location to your profile. Our regulars cannot remember everyone so it helps when the location pops up each time you post. Definitely helps get better advice that's suitable for your conditions.

Hello from rainy Lancashire!

I’m too new to all this to be of any help with anything but I also have horse chesnut and oak (both from seed, about 1-2 yr old) as well as a purchased pre-bonsai silver birch, funny how similar our collections are! Please do post pics sometime. 🙂

Welcome!

Hi,

Nice to hear you have grown from seed :)
My chestnut saplings are not even a year yet but ill post some pics on the weekend, would be nice to see some pics of yours.

One of my oaks I believe is 3-5 years old

I only have 1 tree in a plastic bonsai pot at the moment and that is my silver birch that sadly lost its leaves recently due to lack of water whilst I was on holiday.

Good afternoon,

Well here is a few photos of my sweet chestnuts still unsure as to which trees I will bonsai.
All planted this year and have more sweet chestnuts than I thought :D

Still getting used to posting on this site so apologies for how its presented, ill post some more of my other trees at a later date.

My 3 biggest sweet chestnut.
