Really does not look bad for beginning. I am wondering what good branch bender is doing? Also if wanting trunk to develop any size need to get into bigger growing container or ground but not this season(wrong time)

@choppychoppy 's mockup hits on a good point - the foliage on those lower branches needs to be chased backed closer to the trunk. Right now you have long, naked, taperless branches with tufts at the ends.
If it's vigorous and healthy, thinning/reducing the foliage at the ends may stimulate some backbudding down the branch that you can cut back to.
