I need some help identifying what’s going on with my juniper’s. I had organic soil and changed to akadama but it looks like I have a pest on them but I can’t identify to be able to treat if I even still can. It looks like maybe scale? Any thoughts?

Looks like phomopsis to me.

When did you repot?

For better a response fill out your location on your account.

I see some scale but that isn't what is causing the browning.

Did you check for spider mites?
Take a white piece of paper and hold it under a branch. Shake or tap the branch and then look at the paper closely. If you see little specks moving around, gently smudge them with your finger. If they make little brown or red streaks, you have mites.

I will check

Maybe I’m watering too infrequently? Should I be doing it daily? It’s not too hot here

More information!

Get a wood chopstick and stick it in the soil.
Leave it there.
Take it out once a day and look at, feel it.
Water the tree when it is almost dry.
Don't let it completely dry.
Do this for a couple of years and you'll learn how often your trees need water throughout the year (hint: it changes)

Ok thank you

It does look like phomopsis to me as well.
IMO, your repotting was not an optimum time. And if you switched from organic to akadama, that is a big change all at once. I would suspect it may have been bare rooted or close to bare rooted.
Like Sorce said, more information...............

I've already trimmed I lost a few limbs due to death. I had purchased in spring I don't know if this is a repotting issue. I don't have mites. But I want it to fill out and get strong again. It is an outdoor plant and I live in texasIMG_20221006_184043954.jpgIMG_20221006_184051965.jpgIMG_20221006_184051965.jpgIMG_20221006_184111198.jpg
