Some raffia and bending practice...

This was a branch - that had ground layered itself - from a juniper I dug up from my front yard a couple years ago (variety unknown).

If it survives my abuse, it will probably be used to practice my grafting next (probably kishu, as that's what I have).

Bends look too close to 90° at some angles, but others it looks good. I would have made them a bit sharper, but was starting to hear some tearing.

#2 will be next, but it's thicker - and I'm out of 6 gauge and probably need some rebar (another thing I've never tried and probably should)...
