Juniper bonsia

Any advice on what to do my first juniper bonsia cant wait for spring

It will help if you provide approximately where in the world you live, if the tree stays outside or in, how long you’ve had it, how often you water it?

Sorry yeah I live in upstate new york weather has been very cold i have had it for about 2 months and its outside in a coldframe its approximately 7 years old

My first observation was also very dry soil so it is great that you already know to check soil moisture below the surface and that junipers need to stay outdoors.

Please add location to your profile so we don't have to keep scrolling back to check. Location is so important to when things happen in bonsai.

For now just concentrate on horticulture to keep the tree alive. Water, fertiliser, sun and fresh air. Everything else can wait a while.
At some stage you'll need to look at style. Being a 'mallsai' this tree has just been pruned around the outer edges and slipped into a bonsai pot for quick sale. No real look at what shape it has or what might make it look more like an old tree rather than a small shrub in a pot.
You probably need to decide whether you just want a small tree in a small pot without real regard to aesthetic 'old tree' bonsai styling or whether to work toward developing a more impressive bonsai which evokes some feeling in the viewers.
One of the photos shows 2 thick low branches in opposite directions which is something very few old trees would have. You'll need to decide whether to keep both or concentrate on one or remove both in favour of a more upright main trunk (if there is one?)
